Everything in God’s time, and we did try to be patient, but we didn’t always succeed. But our Father God decided it was time on Saturday 5th September to Welcome and Commission our Minister in Training, Suzanne Charles.
Suzanne from Sheffield is in her last two years of training to become an Accredited Baptist Minister. Out of all the Baptist Churches in England she chose with some help from our Lord to come to Bethany in the village of Chadsmoor near Cannock.
Saturday’s Welcoming and Commissioning Service led by the Baptist Regional Minister Denise Dore was one of Worship, great joy, love and excitement. Suzanne was supported at her comissoning by friends and members of her home Churches in Sheffield and Belper as well as her mentor from Glasgow. Members from local Chadsmoor and Stafford Churches as well as our local Member of Parliament and Town councilor attended the service with only one minor hiccup so characteristic of Bethany services and God’s undeniable humorous side.
Suzanne’s future at Bethany is bright and her role of spreading the word of our Lord Jesus with the support of the Church community is assured.
