About Us
Mission Statement
- To know God’s love in our lives, as we trust and follow Jesus
- To show God’s love in the community, as He reaches out to everyone
- To grow in God’s love together, growing in our faith, growing His Church, as others come to know his love too.
Church Motto
“God’s love unites”
“My children, our love should not be just words and talk; it must be true love, which shows itself in action”
Who We Are
Bethany Baptist Church is a family church open to people of all ages and walks of life. As a Church we believe it is vital to help everyone to grow in both the discovery of faith, and the experience of faith.
We are a small congregation, a friendly group of people who worship together and try to live their lives as our Lord Jesus Christ would wish. We are far from perfect and our Sunday service and weekly activities ensure that we remain grounded in our faith and the needs of our community and give us the strength and guidance we all need in our daily lives.
Our doors are open to everyone ‘saint and sinner’ and everyone in between. We believe that we are all God’s children and he loves us all without exception.
We understand that everyone has a different need and we are here to be there for each other and anyone who calls.
What We are About?
There is a lot of information on this website about ourselves, what we believe and what we do to try and live our lives as our Lord Jesus Christ would wish.
One of the most important things to us is to meet anyone that walks through our Church doors with a warm welcome and treat them as a friend, sister or brother.

Judith Deakin
Organist and Church Deacon
I’m Judith I’ve been a deacon for so many years serving my Lord at Bethany as best as I can. I have been a member all my life and enjoyed every minute of it. I often play the organ although I’d much prefer to sing but the Lord always challenges you to ‘serve in many ways’. I’ve lived on Chadsmoor all my life and taught many of the children in the area. My Church is my other home.
