Drop In
Tuesday morning ‘Drop In’ continues to be a place of welcome for everyone especially those who are feeling lonely and just need to hear a friendly voice see a smile or just have a chat.
There’s also a quiet time for prayer held around 11:00 a.m. in one of the Church vestries for anyone who wants a prayer saying for anyone that is anxious or worried or for a loved one.
‘Drop In’ is open every Tuesday morning from 10:00 – 12:00 a.m., tea, coffee, bacon sandwiches and tea cakes are available for a donation, small or large, we don’t mind.
Every penny of the donations we receive are used to support our outreach in the local community and abroad.
Pop in, you’re sure to receive a warm reception.
Bible Study
Bible study with our sisters and brothers from St. Aidans Church of England and Chadsmoor Methodist Churches continues to flourish. We thank the Reverend Nicola Upson-Smith from St. Aidans for facilitating this opportunity to learn more from our Bible and the faith that we share and also providing excellent biscuits, tes and coffee.
Wednesday Friendship Hour
Friendship Hour is a time when everyone from inside or outside of the Church can come together socially, have a chat, learn something new, celebrate and meet to perhaps share a special interest. During the summer months trips to local places, garden centres, restaurants and sometimes local hostelries for a lunch time meal are organised. All aimed at creating a friendly family group of like-minded people.
Friendship Hour is held every other Wednesday from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. in the Church’s activity room with free tea, coffee, and cake.
Junior Church
Our Junior Church changes from week to week. Led by members of our congregation who have all been CAB checked we pray that it continues to grow. We trust that the Children and their parents that do attend become regular members of our congregation.
Friendship Hour

Craft and Chat
Wednesday Craft and Chat meets every other week from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. The group are always busy making banners for outside the Church, novelties for local charities and for the shoebox team while having a good old natter and some light refreshments. Everyone is welcome to come and try their hand at all sorts of different things.
Bethany is always available for prayer whenever the Church or activity suite is being used during the daytime. A prayer meeting is also held once a month for an hour or so to give anyone in the local community an opportunity to ‘pop in’ for a few moments, or spend longer either in silent prayer, or sharing thoughts, concerns, or thanksgivings they wish to share with members of our Prayer Team.
The Prayer Team are Church members who are available to listen to and pray with anyone in confidence when requested to share a joy or sorrow.

This is an annual, worldwide time of prayer and worship that has been celebrated every year since 1887. Held on a rota basis in churches in the Chadsmoor and surrounding area. Please check our website for information on the venue and times of the meeting in 2026.
Prayer
Prayer is central to our belief as Christians; it’s our way of communicating, sharing with – talking with – God, as we do in our daily relationships with those around us.
As a congregation we are always pleased to receive prayer requests at any time these are written in our prayer book which is used in every Church Service. Members of our congregation are encouraged to act as a vehicle in communicating prayer requests to the Deacons of the Church in order that they can be include in our prayers of intercession. In addition there is a form on this website that can be used by anyone who wants to ask for a specific prayer to be offered up to Our Lord.
